Effects of Alcohol on the Brainnnn

Video: Shown in this video, the physical effects of alcohol on the body are very erroneous. It states that alcohol has an impact on every cell of your body and damages most organs and systems. Alcohol literally effects your whole body, and this video goes into the brain specifically. It says how alcohol starts with a stimulant effect and as one continues to drink, the depressent effect kicks in and soon takes over.

This older man appears to have been drinking excessively and is experiencing some long-term effects including hallucinations.

As a result to drinking, this gentleman looks to be in the state of depression.

The effects of drinking alcohol are much more serious than some would like to believe. Alcohol is the most abused drug in the U.S. at the moment. It is more dangerous than cocaine and in some cases even marijuana. There are not just short-term effects, but there are serious long-term effects linked to alcohol usage as well. Not only is a person's physical state affected, but their mental state of mind is affected as well. The brain is actually in more danger than the body is when one abuses alcohol. If you start drinking early in your life, you could get addicted and be stuck with this addiction for your entire life.

As you can see in the diagram shown to the left, drinking alcohol shrinks the brain by kiilling off the brain cells.
